eReaders for the iPad Reviewed
In this video, David Prager of Revision3 reviews the major eReader apps available for the iPad.
Spoiler Alert! iBooks and Kindle come up as the two top choices in his review. I have a Kindle and use the Kindle app on my iPhone and netbook. I really like the Kindle app for my highly mobile reading needs (for those time when you eat alone…so very alone).
Some points not covered in the review though:
How easy is it to get your own content into those readers? Getting things on my actual Kindle…easy. Getting things on my iPhone…not so easy. I get books from a number of sources, like FeedBooks or material that I create myself. I’d like to know how easy this is to pull off on the iPad.
Also, what about Stanza? Stanza actually predates all of the eReader apps reviewed and is really a nice app for reading on your iPhone. allows for users to download content from a much wider number of sources than any of the apps reviewed.
