Ouachita Parish Police Jury

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury is looking to hire a part time employee in the Information Systems department. The position will teach basic workstation, server, and networking skills. I would prefer that the applicant has a basic knowledge of Active Directory, IP, IP routing, PC support, server support, website design, and can punch/crimp CAT5e/CAT6 cable. The projects I have on my plate as of now will consist of

1. New Antivirus software to all workstations and servers on OPPJ’s network
2. To install a new network cabinet and relocate all servers, network devices, and network cables.
3. Assist in the deployment of SysAid (Help Desk software).

The core responsibilities for the employee will consist of network, server, and workstation troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation, virus/spyware removal, and assisting in special projects. Manual labor will be involved with this job (i.e. carrying computers, servers, and monitors). The employee must also have reliable transportation, insurance, and clean driving record. A background check and drug screening is mandatory. This is a part time position paying $7.78 per hour and we are very flexible with class schedules.
